Identity Confusion

I had the privilege of speaking at the first ever Kids Ministry Connext Conference in 2014 (http://www.kidminconnext.com). What God put on my heart to share with this group of influential KidMin leaders was not so much about tips and techniques in children’s ministry but it was more about us and our identity. We can get lost in what we do, which can then cause us to develop a case of identity confusion. When we lose our identity, we can focus on the wrong factors to tell us who we really are which then lead us to have the wrong thoughts about ourselves.

The clip provided is from my talk at Connext. I pray that it blesses you and reminds you of your true identity. Whether you are in children’s ministry or not, I believe that the principle is one that can help us all stay in the place of personal identity that God wants for us.

Please leave a comment and let me know how this spoke to you. If you would like to hear more from the great speakers at the Connext conference, or want information on upcoming events, click on the link provided. There is something for every level of KidMin involvement or for your personal growth.

  1. Great Stuff Manny! “I am a children’s pastor, but don’t limit me to only that. I’m going to do much more because I am a child if the King!”
